April School Holiday Programme

The April School Holiday Programme was anō te pai for everyone involved. Tamariki played at the beach, went for bush walks, swimming at the pool, learnt some new te reo kupu and how to weave harakeke. They watched a movie, visited Goldsborough, the Kiwi House and Shantytown. Programme Organiser, Courtney Atkinson commented… “On Thursday we went to the Hokitika swimming pool where the tamariki all had an absolute blast playing with each other, using team work to help each other out when someone couldn’t climb onto the inflatable ring and just overall fun. At lunchtime we ordered hot chips and had chip sammies back at Lazor Park where we planned our next adventure. Given the weather was clearing up we decided to head out to the Mananui Bush Walk where Dani’s whānau had built a fairy garden in the bush. The tamariki enjoyed seeing all the hard work that was put into this and even started making their own contributions.”
